Our Programs

Infants

Our commitment to build child’s solid foundation starts with the infant program. We understand that the very young children require an environment that is especially responsive to individual needs. We work together with parents to develop a daily schedule that meets the infant’s individual needs. Our staff responds to infants with loving words, smiles and gentle touches so that the infants feel secure and special. Our infant classroom offers a wide selection of stimulating equipment alongside soothing and restful areas. The infant caregivers sing songs, cuddle children and read stories to them. We also track infants on how well they are progressing on various milestones based on their age. These activities, along with a detailed account of the day, are reviewed with parents at end of each day.

Toddlers

Toddlers are eager learners who energetically interact with their environment. We encourage each child’s need to satisfy their curiosity by offering a wide selection of developmentally appropriate toys and equipment to encourage learning at each stage of their development. Our toddler lessons incorporate art, dramatic play, library, music and movement. By playing in groups, toddlers learn valuable social skills needed to effectively interact with others. In toddler age our staff works actively to get them potty trained. During the later part of toddler program we introduce toddlers to Montessori tools in preparation for entering the preschool room. At the end of each day, our staff reports to you how the day went.

Preschoolers

Our Montessori program is for pre-schoolers and pre-kindergartners. The  children choose their work from among variety of learning materials displayed on open shelves and they work in specific work areas. Over a period of time, the children develop into a “normalized community”, working with high concentration and few interruptions.
In the Montessori classrooms five distinct areas constitute the prepared environment:
  • Practical life enhances the development of hand-eye coordination, gross motor control, and care of self and the environment
  • Sensorial area enables child to classify, order and describe sensory impressions in relation to length, width, temperature, mass, color, etc
  • Mathematics makes use of manipulative materials to enable the child to learn concepts of number, symbol, sequence, and math operations
  • Language arts include oral language development, written expression, reading, the study of grammar, dramatics and children’s literature
  • Cultural activities expose the child to basics in geography, history, life sciences and earth sciences, along with music and arts.
To fully appreciate the unique methods and materials used within the Montessori classroom, we highly recommend that parents come and take a tour of the Montessori room.
